Acts 16:9-15; Revelation 21:10, 22-22.5; John 14:23-29
The story of Paul in Acts is another important turning point in the spread of Christianity from Jerusalem "to the uttermost parts of the earth" which is based on dreams and visions believed to have been communication from God. Paul determined to go in a direction different from what he had intended and thus the church and its message took root in Macedonia under the ministry of Paul.
What can be said of the passage in Revelation that has not already been said? Perfect hope fulfilled by perfection!
Beautiful words ascribed to Jesus concerning the spiritual gift of love. His Father had perfect love and Jesus shared that love with his disciples. Jesus gave the responsibility for continuing to share that same love with others as he had taught them by word and example. Now he was going to be with the Father and the task of fulfilling his ministry in the world was theirs to complete.
