Making God Talk Make Sense

Seminars are held in a variety of settings. The length of a given seminar is adjusted to the setting but is typically one day or two half-days in length. They may be held in any setting conducive to small group meetings and usually include twenty to twenty-five persons.

Seminars have been held in churches and homes in Texas, Arizona, and Nebraska, including a small ranch in NW Nebraska.

Seminar content is based on Making God Talk Make Sense, but may include any religious or spiritual concerns of participants. Progressive thinking, which respects religious tradition but is harmonious with the world as we know it, is encouraged. All points of view are respected as long as they relate positively to growth in reverance, love, respect, and personal responsibility.

The idea of partnership with God is emphasized in comparison to the traditional idea of servitude to God. The atmosphere of discussion occurs in an awareness of a contemporary explosion of knowledge, a world that is decreasing in size, and the dangers of religious fanaticism.

The goal of both seminars is to nurture intellectual harmony with hopeful faith from a "process" perspective. Dr. Goff's book, MAKING GOD TALK MAKE SENSE (A Common Sense Approach To Religion) ($17.95) will be utilized as a reference for discussion. Seminar cost--Donation.
